Help burning multiple homemade DVDs to one DVD-R disc

Honestly, I've tried to search for this answer, but you have a huge collective history here to sort through...

I'm recording home video on Sony Handicam using 80mm DVD-RW discs. My camcorder does not support direct connection to PC. I finalize the disc and my PC's DVD drive can read the contents.

I want to consolidate multiple small DVD contents to a single fullsize DVD. The only software I have is Nero 6 OEM bundle. I'm at my wit's end trying to figure this out on my own.

I cannot burn multiple disc-image (.nrg) files to one DVD. Nero Tech Support says this is impossible.

I cannot create a compilation of the various VTS- and Video_TS files from several mini-DVDs, because Nero won't allow a name change to the Video_TS files, and if I try to add them from multiple mini-DVDs, it won't work because the file names are identical.

These 80mm DVDs only hold about 30 minutes of footage in SP mode, so I feel like I should be able to get 3-4 small discs on one standard size DVD.

I would appreciate anyone explaining how to do this.

    Welcome to the <a href="http://forum.digital-digest.com/faq.php?faq=vb_faq#faq_new_faq_item" target="_blank">Digital Video Forums</a> jvandewark!

It turns out I am doing the same thing right now.

What you need to do is rip each DVD (transfer it to your PC) to your hard drive. After you have got them all on the hard drive. Open up DVD Shrink or Nero Recode, and click the "Re-author" button and add each separate title. There will be no menu that way though. (If you have a registered version of Nero, chances are you have Nero Recode on your PC)

Here is a guide I made on how to do it with DVD Shrink: http://www.digital-digest.com/articl...vdr_page1.html

To get a menu, you will need a DVD Authoring program such as TMPGEnc DVD Author to create menus for you.

Here is a guide I made on how to use TMPGEnc DVD Author: http://www.dvdr-digest.com/articles/41_1.html

TMPGEnc DVD Author had a 30 day fully functional trial with it. The link to download it is in my guide.
