May be a shot in the dark but....

Does anyone know how I can capture a pic of the instructional video that I play in windows media. I want to extract some live pics if you will of the video for the cover. I tried screen shot but it comes up blank. I tried Bulents screen recorder but I keep getting an error message about it not being an AVI file. Whatever that is.

Just wondering if anyone new how I can take pics of the video while its playing or can this even be done?

    TIA

you want to take a still of a frame in a video?

download virtualdubmod, load clip. navigate to frame. follow above procedures to save it.

Got it and I am self teaching. I was able to snapshot, but it takes to long to load the clip.
