    A bit of a mess

i downloaded some video clips. they were .avi or .wma i used DivXtoDVD to convert them to DVD compatible files. It gave me some .ifos some. bups and the .vobs. the problem is when i play these files, whether it be in wmp classic or dvdshrink, the audio is too fast and sounds like a chipmunk, and the video stays the same. so besides the fact that audio sounds bad, it also finishes before the video does. i have ffdshow, but im not real familiar with how to use it, thought that might be something of use or maybe im just doing this all wrong. if u neeed anymore info im happy to share. thanks

please do not cross-post (post the same question multiple times)

you already opened a thread about this issue.
Talk about the AVI file container, and the Divx/Xvid codecs that are most commonly found in AVI files
