MPEG to .m4v

Hello i have a Simple Question How would i go about Converting a MPEG Movie Format to one of these? Either .m4v or .mp4 or .mov? what i tryingto do is take Music videos i downloaded from net and put them on my ipod. when i used the convert feature in itunes it just Had video no audio.

.m4v (in the case of Apple) is just an incorrectly named mp4. In other words, the same thing. You might also want to check out MeGUI.
