    One image per frame

    hello,

Can someone recommend a tool or process which will allow me to select a small portion of a DVD movie, and save each frame as a file such as Jpg, Bmp, Png? I have the movie backed-up to hard drive using DVD Shrink. Thanks from this Newbie.

Yes, that works to some degree, but I want to do something more like:

      1. pause at a spot in the movie
      2. choose # of frames or duration
      3. save all the frames as images

MPC would work better if I could step forward and backward through the frames, and choose the dimensions of the target images. I only see an option to step forward. I don't mean to complain about these free programs, but rather appreciate all of them.

Should I look for a tool that converts the entire movie to AVI, then use a tool to grab the frames? Can that be done?

      Thanks.
