AC3 Ch2 or AC3 5.1

I usually delete all audio except AC3 5.1...most players can downmix this track to 2 channel for viewing with TV alone. The 2 channel tracks are generally reserved for directors commentaries and special features.

but what if i still keep extra's, is 5.1 the best way to go?

No because the extras audio, at least most of the time that I have seen is not just 5.1. Here we are talking about main movie audio only.

True, with one little amendment. All players can downmix 5.1 to stereo.

Good information blu....seemed like a stretch to say that all players downmix, nice to know. Armed for the future.
