    AVI TO ASF? Please i beg you help me =(

    Hey i need desperat help with AVI to ASF...ive been trying to figure it out for over 2 month now...(belive it or not)....I heard that the old Windows media tools 4.1 has the abiliety to convert avi to asf but i cant find the older version anywhere....and i also heard that i can do it with the new version too but i have to play around with the command prompt, wich i cant i have so many movies on my hd and i whant them all off... and the second and most importent thing is that when i convert AVI to ASF i can put the asf. file on cd so i could fit more on 1 cd.... well how i was saying ive been searching the web for answers...no luck.. i hope some1 can help me here....Thank yo very much

    Do a Google search for "Vid2ASF" or "VidtoASF"...

      ok thankx for the reply...but yet i have another problem now....i did the search on google with vid2asf and it gave me the link to DiVx digest.... there is this little programm its like 37kb and i downloaded it....i put the lil mofo in ma desktop and click on it...nuthin happens .........
      PLEASE CANT ANY1 HELP ME?

        If, from within a DOS box you type (DON'T type the quotation marks) "vidtoasf > lpt1", it should provide you with a printout of all the necessary commands...

          i tried this tool,but i find the file converted is even more bigger than the AVI file.

          could you tell me how to use "vidtoasf" to get smaller file than AVI source file.

            If the .AVI file is DivX-compressed, conversion to .ASF will always result in a larger file. As I understand, the primary purpose of creating in .ASF format was/is to be able to provide streaming video...
