Use Labelflash with NEC ND4550A?

    Use Labelflash with NEC ND4550A?

    I know that Labelflash only works with 4551 but then I read this at cdfreaks:

    "CD Freaks has detailled NEC ND-4550A and NEC ND-4551A reviews available. The NEC ND4551 burner adds support for LabelFlash but both drives - together with the ND3550 and ND3551 - share the same hardware and only differ in firmware. "

    And since it´s the same hardware - won´t the 4550 support Labelflash after I updated the firmware?

      the crossflash was pulled off the internet because of royalty concerns
      when nec and the owners of the labelflash made it know they didn't appreciate it, out of respect for all the hard work Liggy does and future
      cooperation from nec, it's seems to be the best course of action

          Ok I understand.

          But if anyone knows if there is ANY way to get the crossflash - let me know!!!

              well I wish you luck, myself I am just hoping that liggy will be able to add bitsetting to the new nec firmwares and as such I am closing this thread

              over at cdfreaks this is a very touchy subject and came close to getting one old time nec firmware geek banned
