Uploading video to google video

Trying to upload which I have permission to google video. I keep getting an error message stating it doesn't support the file. "we only support avi., mpeg; mpg; mp4; mod; ra; ram; mov; wmv; or asf. Please make sure your file doesn't contain punctuation marks

the file I am trying to upload is a VOB file, whatever that means. I have dvd shrink and I reauthored to make it smaller but it still is a VOB file. How do I change the file extension to upload it to myspace? Youtube.com is ok but it only lets me upload bits at a time and google lets me upload the whole video

VOB is a container type file in which audio, video, and subtitles are stored in. In your case, just rename the .VOB extension to .MPG.

Thanks 2cool. Sorry posting in the wrong/duplicate thread.

Anyway. I tried doing this but it won't let me. I mean when I right click the file and type in the name , dot, mpg it renames it as such but when I look in properties, its still a vob file

Try playing it, it should work.

If it still doesn't work, try unchecking Folder Options-> Hide extension for Known file types.
