    WMP can't find working audio codec

    :hi:

    i donwloaded some avi's but when I am trying to open them with the windows media player the program always connects to activex or whatever and downloads a codec but after installation the program says that it's unable to playback audio...I have no 1.37Gigs of avi's that don't work

    That's why I am searching no for a file which contains all audio codecs.

    this may is a simple question, but I am sure to be in the correct category...

    Nube needs help!

    It might help if you right-click on the .AVI file and select "Properties". Then select the "Advanced" tab. This should bring up some information regarding the codecs used (audio and video) to create the file.

    Let us know of your success ;>}

        That's the Divx audio codec which is included as part of the original DivX v.3.11 file.

                Not strange at all. DivX 3.11 is THE ORIGINAL program. DivX 4.xx codecs are the rsult of an open effort initially referred to as DivX Deux and now Open DivX.
