    Low Volume in converted movie???

    hi all,
I have radium and Kristal studio (KS) codec packs installed. I've converted 2 different dvds using XMpeg (it's got a couple more features than flask.

My problem is with the finished file's volume being so low. I have to turn up the volume to full on speakers and pc to get normal volume????? I don't seem to be getting different mp3 codecs just PCM/WMA v1&v2/MP3 though inside mp3 there seems to be 2 lists of 8kb/s to 320kb/s??? I've run many 15 second tests from both lists from 96kb/s to 192kb/s without much of a difference in volume.

Is there a better than others mp3 codec to use for divx converting????? or am I doing something wrong.

    thanks
    Gav

Most DVDs with 5-channel-sound have a very low volume. You will have to increase the volume. That can be done with nandub, nomalize or many other sound-tools. I don't know if XMpeg has an option to do that. Or you use a player that allowes to increase the volume above 100%. Sasami2K workes very good for that.
    don't trust in guides
