Can't playback my DVD mp3 on DVD player

    Hi,

I just got a new DVD player yesterday and it is a Philips. I tried playing back my mp3 which is burned on a DVD. It opens the folders but in some folders it doesn't show all the songs and in other folders it doesn't show the songs at all. It is mp3 compatible. That is what the box says. I know i borrowed the DVD player from my house mate until i bought mine and his played my music on DVD real good. Why can't i play it back?

only a few players support mp3 playback from dvd

    use cd's instead

you can still get over a 100 songs on one

remove the phillips and you get lots of hits

apex chipsets seem to handle it

When i first tried tried mp3 on CD. Dude the compression of 100 was way over the mark. I have no clue on how to fit 100 on a CD.

        I cd holds 700MB, a normal mp3 at 192K should only be 4-5 megs for 3-5 minutes

you need to get the basics down first before moving on to burning

Well i know how to burn but what i am trying to say. 1 folder with 100 songs in it was way over 700 megs for 1 CD in Nero. I don't know why it was that big.

              basics, basics, basics

when looking at a folder of mp3's, choose view details, choose details and check bitrate

              uncheck useless crud

I don't see view details when i right click my mp3 folder. I see properties but that doesn't have details.

I did open details and i checked both of the bit rate boxes and i didn't see any useless crud box that was checked or unchecked. I tried to burn a folder on a CD with Nero and it was pass the 375 min mark. It came with a red mark all the way up to 375. Why is it so big?

Oh oh so only check the bitrate closest to the top and not the bit rate at the bottom of the page? I have something VERY intresting for you to read at computing.

                            (Hope chewy won't mind )

There is a paid solution for this: Audio DVD creator. This program will create an Audio DVD of your mp3 collection and the result will be playable in any DVD player, just keep the TV off and you will also save on electricity
