    Creating a dvd

Being a newbie there'sa big change this question is asked before. However a don't have an answer so here it is:

My DVD-player is capable of playing CDROM's and CD-RW's with any video format. Now I want to create DVD's of DV-movies of my child.
    I have a DV-recorder, a firewire adapter in my PC an a CDRW-burner.

How can I create a professional DVD, with photo's, movies, two languages, menus and subtitles?

Hi there, you wont be able to create a DVD unless you have a DVD Burner. You have a burner but its a CD Burner not a DVD Burner . But if you want to watch home movies on your DVD Player you can convert the files you have to MPEG1 or MPEG2 (if your stand-a-lone DVD Player plays SVCD's) and burn them onto a CD using a program called NERO. This is just the basics of it all, there are a number of tutorals written on this subject. For good information about all of this and more check out this site :
Download free video and audio software. Old versions, user reviews, version history, screenshots.

Thanks, however my DVD player is capable of playing so called miniDVD's. You can use a normal 650/700MB CD-R(W) with a DVD-format on it. So I really want to try it
