    Nero Vision Essentials 4

Hi, All. I'm extremely new to creating DVD's and brand new to this forum. So, please be patient. I have an issue where I'm trying to burn a DVD with Nero Vision Essentials 4 using the .VOB files that I have on my hard drive. And, I'm trying to create it with the existing menu and chapters that were created by the person who originally authored the DVD. Instead of having that option, Nero is trying to create a menu with a chapter for the original menu and a chapter for each of the 9 .VOB files. Here is a list of the files that were included in the download:

    <TABLE class=main cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=5 border=1><TBODY><TR><TD>VIDEO_TS/VIDEO_TS.BUP</TD><TD align=right>78.00 kB</TD></TR><TR><TD>VIDEO_TS/VIDEO_TS.IFO</TD><TD align=right>78.00 kB</TD></TR><TR><TD>VIDEO_TS/VIDEO_TS.VOB</TD><TD align=right>656.00 kB</TD></TR><TR><TD>VIDEO_TS/VTS_01_0.BUP</TD><TD align=right>128.00 kB</TD></TR><TR><TD>VIDEO_TS/VTS_01_0.IFO</TD><TD align=right>128.00 kB</TD></TR><TR><TD>VIDEO_TS/VTS_01_1.VOB</TD><TD align=right>1.00 GB</TD></TR><TR><TD>VIDEO_TS/VTS_01_2.VOB</TD><TD align=right>1.00 GB</TD></TR><TR><TD>VIDEO_TS/VTS_01_3.VOB</TD><TD align=right>1.00 GB</TD></TR><TR><TD>VIDEO_TS/VTS_01_4.VOB</TD><TD align=right>1.00 GB</TD></TR><TR><TD>VIDEO_TS/VTS_01_5.VOB</TD><TD align=right>298.44 MB</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

Is it actually possible to use the original menu and chapters if I'm using Nero Vision or should I try another program? If Nero is no good, I would prefer to use a free program. Any assistance would be a HUGE help and greatly appreciated. Thanks!

    Craig

Nero Vision is for authoring. You already HAVE an authored DVD. Why go into Nero Vision again? Just burn the files into a DVD( as DVD-Video, using Nero Express or Nero Burning Rom).If you want a freeware alternative, use Imgburn.
