HDTV.avi file

Hello,

Please forgive me if this is a basic question as I am new to this forum and didn't find anything obvious in the 'Newbie please read section'.

I have 5 large .avi files, about 600M each that are apparently HDTV files.

When I view them on my computer using GOM Player, they come out very 'wide-screened' in dimensions and are of exceptional video quality.

I would like to make DVDs using these files.
I have tried to copy them onto a DVD but when I try to play them on my DVD recorder it refuses to play them.

The same DVD disk can be read on my computer DVD burner and will play on my computer.

I don't know if this is a 'HDTV wide screen' issue or something else.

I would appreciate guidance as to how to proceed from here to make this DVD disk. TIA!

Convert them to DVD format using DVD Flick or SUPER or something.

DVD Flick seems like a great program.

I was able to create VOB, BUP and IFO files for the project on my hard drive with DVD Flick.

Now I'm stuck in creating the DVD. I couldn't see a way in DVD Flick to create the DVD at this stage.

I fired up Nero and tried to burn the disk with it, but it failed.

Any tips on what I should do next?
