Hi, I have a movie stared on my computer in avi format. I have selected "open files" but it only lets me go as far as the movie file folder them stops and I get an error message that says:

Failed to open. System cannot find the specified file.

    Can you help?

I have no idea what program you are using to select "open files". I also have no idea what OS you are using. It's real tough to suggest a fix when I know so little about your system.

How are you opening the file?
If you are double-clicking the .avi file look in Windows "Open With" in the context menu. The program opening the file should have "%1" as the param.. with the double quotes. If the path of the file has a space and it just has %1 without the surrounding double quotes, it won't find it. The path gets chopped off when it sees the space.

        Hi Shelly,

Download VLC for Windows ... Install and play your AVI with that.
