    Video skipping on videos edited...

    Hi all, first post

I am new to video editing and I have been playing with a few different video editors and source files to make my videos.

The first set were shot with a Canon HG21 in HD format and then edited in Adobe Premier Pro CS4 and Encore. The resulting video when I view the edited version skips like every 3rd second. The source however seems to play fine.

The second is video I have captured from some family VHS tapes that I am converting to DVD. This time I tried Corel VideoStudio SE (ver 10) and the end result is the same it seems to skip every 3rd second.

My PC is a Quad Core Q6600 (overclocked to 3.0ghz but with a new heatsink and fan keeping temps down to 40 degrees celsius) with 4GB DDR2 800mhz ram with an 8600GT 256MB Video with 2 identical 400GB 32mb cache Samsung HDDs and 1 Seagate 1000GB 32mb cache HDD and a Samsung DVDRW, running Windows Vista Home Premium (32bit) with AVG8.5 and Spybit running in the background. The system is on HDD0 (400GB), stoage on the 1TB drive and scratch disk is the other 400GB drive. I am using a Samsung 226BW 22inch LCD screen.

Like I said I am new to this so please guide me, and if you need more information please let me know and I will try and give those details.

    Hoping you can help

    Cheers

    Greg

Welcome Greg. You're new here, but this editing is a lil advanced. A suggestion would be to post in one of the forums/subforums dealing w/these advanced proggies so one of the more experienced fellas can help you. If you can't post in 1 of them because of your newbie status let us know so appropriate action can be taken. ok.
