How do you eliminate layer breaks

    You mentioned converting to .avi yielded the best results so far. If the clips are all the same(afa as resolution frame rate etc.) the easiest solution may be to append the .avi clips with AviDemux. AviDemux is one of the simplest editors to use. They have a Wiki with very complete documentation. Also a forum where you may get some help.



    I'm not sure what is the largest .avi clip you can have but someone on that forum probably knows. If I can edit with it then it's really easy believe me.

      I just reread this thread and it sounds like no matter what the input, you get this hesitation on the output. So I would suggest eliminating the burner from the equation. See if you can get someone to burn a DVD from the same material you have used and see if the playback has the same problem on your player and other players. Maybe it's some bizarre quirk of the disc writer hw. Everything so far has been software. Seems like it's time to try to whittle away at the hw possibilities.
