Family DVD

I am trying to duplicate my family home movies. My sister inlaw made a DVD of our family and I am trying to duplicate and burn my own copy from her orignal. I keep getting an error meesge: "Failure to read file D:/ Data error ( cyclic redundary check). How can I get this resolved?

If it is a home made DVD. (No copy protection) then it means your disc is more than like dirty or scratched.
Clean the DVD instructions HERE

Try Imgburn to read the DVD and use write mode to burn.

Thank you very much. I did go to the Imgburn and downloaded the basic and now it says Window can not open. I have no idea how or what program to use to open the Imgburn. What program do I need to open Imgburn so I can continue?

If you can put it in your computer and see if you can get it to play. If not then see if you can look at the disk contents and let us know, also is there 2 separate file folders and what are the name of the folders are.
