Subtitles

Hi there,
Can someone direct me to a thread or an idiots guide on how to add different subtitle languages (in this case BULGARIAN).
All the films that i have dont have BG subs, which is fine for me but my wife would dearly like to have the subs on and especially as later this year many members of her family will be coming over for stays.
