Not sure what dvds you are talking about, or what your problem is.
You need to be much more specific to get help, imho. -

tstewertrules20, If I'm reading this right, your trying to back up ( burn ) a dvd format to a blank CD, normally used for music backups. Try using a Blank DVD+R disc to burn to and you might have better luck with nero. In this case you will have to have a DVD burner installed in your computer, not just a CD burner. Also Do take a read of Blutachs' DVD shrink for dummies, it will help you tremendously.Last edited by kevdriver; 28 May 2006, 02:49 PM.Oils well thats ends well.Comment

What kind of video are you trying to put on a DVD ? Are you trying to back up a actual DVD, or is this a Video CD that you want on a DVD?
Is this video from a camcorder?
Your answer here is important.Comment

to answer the other ? on smaller files yes i can use reg blank cd's to burn my kids movies (of them) but for alot bigger files that wont fit on a 700mb file cd's they wont fit so basicly i'm trying to use a blank dvd to make there home movies....Comment

Ok, now we are getting somewhere,
If you are burning video to a CD that is a VCD=video cd
Video cd for mat is .mpeg,or.mpeg1 super VCD, = .mpeg2
If you want this type of video in a DVD you will have to convert the file format to a compatible DVD file format.
Here is a great place to look for more information on that.

You may want to start a thread on converting your video in that forum.Comment
