i tried to overburn a cd today; data contained 718 mb - overburn was unsuccesfull.i was wandering if this was the fault of the writer or a cd. i got acer rewriter 24x10x40 and it supports overburn. the cd i used was not the most expensive cd on the market but it could support overburn to 707 mb (that is the higest size i burned succesfully). would a higher quality cd support bigger sizes and if so, which and how big is the data it can contain?

You can check the overburn capability of your cd in Nero with "nero cd speed".

Well if you tried it with another brand and the same thing happened, then you should try re-installing Nero.
