play a movie with subtitle together

Is there somebody who knows how you can play an movie, like an avi file together with a subtitle.

i know that you can use subsync to look if the subtitle is good before you use virtualdub en write the movie with nero on a cd


but now i don't want the write the movie on a cd with nero
i just want to see the movie on my computer. but i want to see it with subtitle, so is there a program like WMP or something which can play a movie file and a subtitle file together??

some player let you load subtitle files optionally

bsplayer for example

You can also use mp9... you have to put the subtitle files(.srt) in the same dir as the movie and name it exactly the same (except for the extension of course).
You also have enable subs, you can do that in:
Play>Captions and Subtitles>On if Available

It might work in other versions of mp and with other sub-filetypes, but I don't know that for sure
