FlaskMPEG keeps crashing on my system!

I'm using FlaskMPEG on an AMD Athlon 1800 running Windows XP Pro to convert MPEG2-files to DivX. However, halfway the process the program crashes. When I try again, it crashes again but at another percentage of the process. But once there were no problems as it completed the converting.

Has anyone a solution for this problem? Thanks for your help.

wont sound too helpful but NOT using flask would be my best bet.

there surely are many different tools, that are more than equal if not to say more flexible and most reliable compared to flask.

What have you changed/added/deleted to/from your system since then?

I also had problems with flask. Mine kept crashing too, there is a new version 7 sumthing, if u dont have it get it. it helped me out some...i also fixed some system problems and that also helped flask be more dependable too.

AFAIK most of the times flask crashes becaue of codecs, i installed divx 5.03 and it started crashing on me, took it out and re-installed divx 5.02 and everything is normal, been flawless

I use a Athlon XP system with the Kazaa-lite codec pack and whebever I use FlaskMPEG it always crashes too. BUT , it crashes whenever the file is finished encoding and I try to exit the program; im forced to restart the system . But i always use flaskmpeg anyway.

What could I say... I'm on P4 2.53 @ 2.9 GHz, I didn't get any crash yet with FlasKMPEG 0.78.39 with Dual Pass. I've nerver used DIVX PRO 5.03 and 5.04 because of lot of bugs concerning these versions. I always used the 5.02 and recently the 5.05.
Have you tried with the last DIVX codec version?

                    Flask newest 7839

Have an Athlon 2200 and 98se and DiVx 5.05 and for some unknown reason Flask 7839 will not open after I try opening any .IFO...

Have used older versions of Flask without problems... Any Ideas ?
