i've been using divx 5.02 and gknot 0.27 for a while with no problems. then i upgraded to divx 5.11 and gknot 0.28.7 and i ran into problems:
the first problem is an avisynth open failure, which i solved by telling gknot to use the newer mpeg2dec3.dll instead of the older mpeg2dec.dll.
the second problem is an open log failure and i have yet to solve it. a screen capture of the error message is attached. i did a compressibility check and the log file is as follows:
2:35:03 AM: Started DivX5-First Pass: C:\PROGRA~1\GORDIA~1\LastCompCheck.avs
2:35:13 AM: Finished DivX5-First Pass: Duration: 9 seconds.
2:35:13 AM: Trying to open Log-file.
2:35:13 AM: Error: Could not open C:\PROGRA~1\GORDIA~1\vdenc.log
2:35:13 AM: Error: Could not count encoded Frames.
2:35:13 AM: Speed: 1156665.954 Frames per Second.
2:35:13 AM: Done.
2:35:13 AM: Log File = M:\movies\extra\extra_5_perc_Divx5_NeutralBicubic_ 512x384.log
Total Encoding Time: 9 seconds.
1/6/2004 2:35:13 AM: Job "extra" finished.
what the heck is this vdenc.log file. i've searched all of my hd's without finding it. more importantly, how to fix this problem?
thanks for any help
p.s. hmm, i thought i did an attachment but none came up. anyway, the error message is very simple: "Log file not found. Unable to get compressibility value."
