Is there anyway I can get a single installer for this codec only, instead of using a codec-pack? Just afraid that installing the pack may screw up my system.

                  A simple question.

Can I have both the DivX3.11a codec and the MPEG4V2-codec installed together? If so, how can I make sure that Nandub uses the latter? Also, can the MPEG4V2-codec play 3.11a contents? I've yet to experiment with this.

                  Thanks!

i got both installed (see attachment) , using the original mpeg4 codec for some cutting & co corrupts the media player when playing these files (someone else has this prob? although its no prob for me i prefer other players at all)

havent tried yet doing it with nandub, as i record with freeVCR and cut & edit with Magix commercial software

                      all via custom installation

And how do I know which codec nandub will use during encoding? I have both codecs installed in my 'Guinea Pig' Windows98 partition anyway, so I can afford trashing it around.

hm perhaps u could try to uninstall all divx codecs then u would know for sure?
(i dont try that, although i m gonna delete the divx5, it crashes all other players than the divx playa (u got that prob too?) when playing back divx content, but my mpeg4v2 videos work fine with my players (except windows media player )

i got another nice prob with a video that should have ac3 sound, virtualdub ac3 cant get audio too (filters installed), perhaps there is no sound at all, but then the file info should tell me nor?

DivX5 does not seem to uninstall properly. I uninstalled it and reinstalled 4.12. Know what I saw in the About dialog? The shiny-looking DivX5 logo! I manually deleted some files in my Windows partition (Stupid of me not to remember what they were) and DivX5 seems to have been truly deleted.

Really hate it when something takes over 3.11a playback without my consent. 3.11 contents should be played with the appropriate 3.11 codec, not anything else.
