I was trying to compress a .wav file, that I extracted from a CD with Easy CD Creator, using GoldWave, but apparently its (GoldWave) form of compression is not referring to file compression. And I know that Virtual Dub does not Open .wav files by themselves. So is there a way I could possibly still use Virtual Dub or is there some other software I should know about?

When I attempt to compress it the file size does not change at all.
I go to Effects on the menu bar and select expand/ compress, set the ratio to 28% and them mark the circle where it says and compressor then press ok. I save the file and then check the file size using the explorer and it is exactly the same as the last file.
But just as I was typing I tried to do a batch conversion from .wav to .mp3 at 48000Hz, 320 kps and it did make it smaller by a fairly good amount, but I still want it smaller. Hmmm...- Amir "TheWiz"Comment

You can try DVDCutter Stream and Mp3CDWav Converter which can be found in www.******.com
Yet I will have to remind you it's a sharewareComment
