    Divx with srt file and AC3 converter

    hi
    i have two requests

    1. does somebody know a programm witch can merge an srt file with a avi file ???

    2. does somebody know i programm that converts a AC3 file into an MP3 or a wav file ???

      for #2, you could also use 'besweet', with the 'belight' interface...

        i told yxou before you cannot simply mux this subtitle file to an avi because your player will not support latest divx6 format nor ogm or mkv

        thus muxing an srt with an avi file in order to play it on your standalone is USELESS!!!

          no, i talked about divx6 (because it should be able to handle subs)

          he wanted to play an ogm => avi conversion on his standalone and thus muxing srt to the video will NOT work!

          Talk about the AVI file container, and the Divx/Xvid codecs that are most commonly found in AVI files

              i figured it out that it doen´t work muxing an avi file and the srt file. what an it do too make this file work. a burned the avi (Xvid) tzhe ac3 audio and the srt file on a dvd. it work in some way. but the subtitle is displayed with some delay. it a little disturbing but ist okay

                @UncasMS it worked i muxed the srt file with the avi file with virtualdub an vobsub text plugin and it worked perfect
