    problem running flaskmpeg 0.594

    i downloaded the flaskmpeg 0.594 (optimized for Intel) zip file (492,823 bytes), unzipped the only file, flaskmpeg.exe (1,220,699 bytes), then double-click the exe but an error message "There was a problem loading the plugins. No output plugins were found. Please check the installation and read the manual. Program will exit."

    what plugins are the program refers to? there was only one file, the exe file, in the zip file; there were no plugins or manual. can anyone help me?

    this is what you can find in doom9's faq:

    +++
    AVI Plugin not detected in FlaskMpeg
    Get an updated copy of mfc42.dll. There's a copy included in the Iomega tools, or you can search a site to download from using FTPSearch. Place the downloaded file into your windows/system directory - usually it's c:\windows\system for Windows 98 or c:\winnt\system32 for Windows 2000.
    +++

    still you should reconsider your choice!
    flask is not up2date anymore and above all has never been a reliable tool.
    you will have to cope with too many workarounds to avoid crappy output files.

      You have to first download install the ORIGINAL version of Flask v.0.594. This package includes all of the required files. then simply replace the file "FlaskMPEG.exe" with the Intel-optimized version...
