    GraphEdit locks

    Hi there,

Big problem for me with GraphEdit : when I insert the file writer filter, a popup appears, but when I try to enter the name of my destination file, graphedit locks.
No more action possible. The only think to do is Ctrl Alt Del and kill the graphedit task.

    I'm a W98 SE user, PIII 1Ghz...

    Any idea ?
    Thanks

what do you want to achieve?

    audio extraction?

    if so, try vob2audio

it uses graphedit routines, and is the best tool for every day sound extraction!

a how2 can ba found on my page.

Thank you for your answer UncasMS.

Yes, I want to extract audio.

I've read that there was a link between GraphEdit, Vob2Audio and DirectShow (DirectX ).

I did not understant it properly . Can you explain me a bit more about it, or tell me where I can read articles on that subjet.

      Thank you again

vob2audio by drevil is something like a gui, which uses exactly those filters you normally have to 'fool around with' building your graph.

thus you have the best (imho) quality you could think of with least effort.

take a look at my guide if you want to read (just a little, because v2a is sooooo easy) on vob2audio.

v2a is the best way to extract audio (to wav, mp3 or ac3) i could think of.
        i NEVER use anything else.
