DVD-Rebuilder + (CCE 2.5 or 2.7) or (ProCoder 1.5 or 2.0) ???
...ya: the RB+CCE2.66 3-passes (I mean VAF+2) result looked (in some parts) similar to the shots you posted about dvd2oneV2. As you said: too low bitrate for CCE, probably (and not enough passes). I should give a try to PROCODER! =)

@Uncasms- blutach
Sorry for my delay in getting back with you (normal work and fam you know). Thanks again for your pointers.
@Uncasms, I need a tad bit of help on the filters. I have used the Undot and Deen that came installed already in rebuilder without and issues, just takes more time. I tried using the fluxsmooth( downloaded it and installed it in the avisynth file. All seem to be correct until I tried to use RB with that filter and it ran through the encode process in about 3 minutes....I knew something was screwy. didnt even finish with the rest of the process. I am a little confused about adding the fluxsmooth to the Avs command line filter inside RB. When adding undot or deen, I have seen examples where you just add the Undot() ...... Deen() and that seems to work. However I was checking out your examples of using the other filters in the Sticky, it it shows using some additional command lines that are not used with Undot and deen in a couple of other examples I have seen in other guides. Can you please explain these for me.
@blutach, thanks for the link. Wish those pics would have been a bit bigger to check out, but I am pretty sure that I am suffering from macroblocking. I have checked out the birate view, but not enough to do a frame or very small file in the movie, only the whole movie. I know it is around 3100 average after compressing and RBing and encoding. Dont know how acceptable that is for TV series quality source. I am still pretty new to this stuff but am learning fast.
As far as all of my tests with RB and CCE basic, Procoder and HC. Here is what I have found out with trying to backup the best quality I can on this TV episode DVD source.
1.Used CCE basic, got an overall pretty good backup. Most people would be happy, was trying to get a very clean backup, but with cce basic, it seemed just a little grainy......not bad, just a little, and it hardly had any macroblocking noticeable in the background dark gray colors.
2. Used CCE basic with Undot and Deen, overall picture seemed sharper, but with that I had an increase in background macroblocking in the darker gray colors. Enough to bother me soon.
3. Used Precoder 2 and basically got a very similar picture to the cce basic with the filters added, maybe a tad sharper picture, but also I think the macroblocking in the background was a tad more predominate.
4. Tried HC encoder and got similar results as the Procoder. With a clean overall picture and with some evident macroblocking in the background.
Another point, in another test I have eliminated one of the episodes on the file to allow for more bitrate and less compressing. (backed up only 3 instead of all 4 of the episodes that were on the original source.) The results were exactly the same as above, as it did not help with my macroblocking in the background issue.
Also, FYI, I backed up just one episode without using any compression, and it was just like the original....no macroblocking in the background.
(Here is why I used the term macroblocking. Found this on another site.
Macrobloking:
For those of you who are unfamiliar with the macroblocking bug, here is a brief rundown:Macroblocking appears on some DVD’s as an artifact of heavy MPEG compression. Macroblocking looks like patches of moving/pulsating off-color blocks, and is most often seen on background walls and floors, in mist, and in fade-in/fade-out scenes.)
I may be trying to do the impossible of taking a 7.5-7.9 gb tv series disc, and compress it down to a 4.7 and expect near perfect results. I think that some of the original source had so little bitrate dedicated to the non-moving background, that taking any of the original away, causes the macroblocking.
Anybody wanting to give me any ideas, I would be glad to listen.
