I've decided that my first rebuilder movie would be a TV episode. However, things began to look 'ominous' when I noticed that the 1st VTS segment...took about an hour to encode the 44 mb M2V. After about 4 hours into Phase II encoding, the overall progress bar... was still only 3% complete. Now there are 36 such VTS segments in the movie, so you go figure the math.
I don't know what to expect when it comes to rebuilding a 'regular movie' However, I do know that DVD Lab only takes about a half an hour to encode a typical 2 hour movie, and about the same time for multiplexing.
For anyone curious: I'm running an HP p4 1.6 pc with 1 gig memory and Windows XP SP2. I'm also running ProCoder 2, with the recommended guide settings.
