@UncasMS and cynthia - the files are showing different sizes but in the .zip they are both the same. Different zip programs I guess. I thought for a sec they might have been different files but both have the same time/date stamp and size. Thanks to you both. Not registered Go here and click register to join the Digital Digest Forums

I think it is being distributed privately for testing amart.
I know UncasMS has a copy, but am not sure whether he is allowed to release it. He will certainly read this thread.

It will be a stupid note, cause it comming from me, but just use an extension that is allowed, and say it's RAR, so renaming it would solve it........
Like Microsofts outlook that doen't take an exe.......
We make it *.exa , always works great....
So use *.rar renamed to *.zip and youre ready to go.....And then there was Blue Ray........ Nothing to backup anymore......Comment

of course you're right that renaming the extension could have solved the problem but then on the other hand we would have to write in big capital red letters that the attached file will have to be renamed because......
but more importantly: if i was to go away from the most used compressionformat i should not switch to rar for better compression but 7z
compressing the very same data which we deal with here (i.e. hcbatch) the archive would have been this size using 7z:
7z:
- 208.592
zip size was:
- 270.228
winrar:
- 236.220
all archivers were used with BEST compression
so if anyone wants better compression try 7z instead of rar or zip!
