Procoder Oversize

Hi,
I'm back again.
Due to a few days off and several tests I didn't post the results yet.
Ok, I followed Uncas hint to uninstall everything and install again.
I took the movie "James Bond - The World Is Not Enough" and blanked out some trailers but not the "Making of"s.

I tried 4 different ways to create the movie:
1. with Procoder2, result was oversized
2. with HC, result was oversized
3. with Procoder2 and RBOpt, result was oversized.
4. Movie only did fit.

Then I "optimized" RBOpt manually and after the second try it did fit too.
No idea why this movie makes that trouble ...

You might want to post your findings on the Rebuilder forum at doom9, where jdobbs and robot1 hang out (although we are fortunate that jdobbs logs in to answer queries).

BTW: I always use RBOpt in manual mode.

i hardly ever use rbopt and i never experienced oversizing

i backup'ed that very title month ago with rb 091 + procoder and it came out perfectly fine

You should experiment a little with it UncasMS - it is a very fine piece of work.

why MUST?

i have never really needed rb-opt but that does not mean it is not a useful tool

i have used rb 1.03 with procoder last night for this very same title and everything went perfectly fine

output size => 4.517.370

Ok, now my experience:
I deinstalled Procoder and RB again, installed Procoder and RB 1.03 again.
Took the same movie, excluded nothing exept one language, half d1 and 25% on extras, no RBOpt ... and it worked.

Had been 4.625.686.528 Bytes ...

Thx blutach, but to be honest, I don't have any idea why this worked and within RB 1.01 it didn't.

On both sides I deinstalled the old versions ...

May just have been a rogue setting in the INI file. All's well that ends well.
