ok, back to business it is then
here are the screenshots from cce 270 opv mode:
1.
2.
3.
4.
5.
6.
in picture number one cce is my winner, 2 clearly goes to hc, 3 is on even terms, 4 looks slightly better with cce for me, in picture number 5 i prefer the hc output again, same goes for screenshot 6
so all in all there is hardly any difference in the opv mode results
the quality of both encoders is very good and thus we have two winners and not a winner and a runner-up
still hc is a clear winner to me as this encoder is freeware and has improved very much over the last couple of month
so a big to hank315 and keep up the good workLast edited by UncasMS; 20 Nov 2005, 04:56 AM.Comment

2) cce (shivers in everywhere) HC is better
3) HC is better (look the wall and general details)
4) doubts.HC is better here cce is better there.(single differents details in the ring, face, hair and cloth)
5) HC win
6) HC win with big details
opening pictures side by side (a new page for each) is better to compare(personal taste):

I can see some difference between those stills. I do think HC does look better. The CCE version looks a bit more grainy in the background.
For freeware, HC is fantastic and although I like CCE, and have been using it for a couple of years. I have been using HC more and more lately.
I also like the suspend button. It is a lot easier to pause the encoding than with CCE. With CCE, the whole operation has to be aborted and start where is left off. A couple of times I have pressed the wrong button and have lost four hours plus of encoding time as it has started from beginning again.Last edited by nwg; 20 Nov 2005, 04:38 AM.Comment

because rebuilder will start from the last successfully encoded segment
in other words you can abort a process any time with any encoder and resume any timeComment

It does resume normally but, that time it deleted all the files and started again.Comment

There is nothing to install. There is just the exe file and it requires software such as DVD Rebuilder to feed it AVS files. It then encodes using these AVS files as reference.
It cannot run on its own.Comment
