The authoring capability is an add-on and may be a little while. As for big changes... you'll probably see an option to do a reallocation pass for certain sources (like CBR or limited VBR), a couple of processing enhancements, and some minor bug fixes.Comment

Which encoder to use
Would you guys recommend the Cimema Craft encoder or does it come with the HC encoder and is that good enough?AMD OPTERON 185 Dual Core 2.6MHz/

I find HC to be an excellent choice Alan. IMHO, CCE at low bitrates produces pretty poor quality output. In this case, I'd recommend Procoder2 (but it is expensive).

@alan1476
DVD-RB and HCenc 21 are a VERY good combination. You will never go back to a transcoder for heavily compressed DVD's. The only problem is the time factor but, what's the rush, let it work as you sleep.Comment

On a moderately powerful machine, time is no big deal either. My PC does a 2 pass with HC on best at 20% faster than real time. So, a typical 2 hour movie should be done within that time.
