    Problem With Nero...

I have the New Nero Express, and am VERY happy wit it. I have encountered one problem though. I have a SVCD which was made with Nero. The video file is 752 MB's. When I try to copy the cd directly to another cd, Nero say it is not enough space on the cd. I am using 700 mb disks. I have changed the settings in the expert mode to accept 90 minute. Only this cd only has 57 minutes. When I used WinonCD 5, it told me that the cd was not big enough also, but I also had the the option to continue anyway. I have also copied the video file directly onto my hard drive, and then tried to burn it, same thing happens.. So, I guess the question is, how can I copy a cd of 752 mb's on a 700 cd using Nero. By the way, the original cd is also 700 mb..( and burned with nero5.8 )

Thanx in advance for the help...

The first thing I need to ask is: you said you "have a SVCD which was made with Nero". What do you mean 'made with Nero'??? You let NERO encode it????

As far as NERO not letting you burn it, are you trying to burn the MPG or are you using the Video CD option in NERO?????

    Let me know

The SVCD was made with DVD2SVCD and burned using Nero. What I am trying to do is, copy this using the direct disk copy option. This is not working, I also tried to copy the Mpg from the disk and then burn it with nero as a SVCD, this also did not work. I have changed the option in Nero to 90 min. The SVCD is only 57/58 min. Nero keeps telling me that the disk is not big enough. I had no problems with WINON Cd when it came to mpegs between 700-800 MB's. Any suggestions would be helpful...

      Thanx in advance..

I have had this very same problem.
I tried copying a VCD using NERO 'CD Copy' and it came up with the same Out of space message. Don't know how to directly fix it but I implemented a workaround based on info found in the Nero help menu.
If you drag MPEG tracks to Nero VCD/SVCD creator you should notice a difference in filesize from the orig. They shrink.
This is due to the format not needing certain disc info like a CD-Rom or Audio CD does. (sorry cant remember the exact info on this - it has been a while)
Anyway instead of CD Copy, use Create VCD and drag the Video track directly to the window below the directory list windows. this is important because if you drag the file into the same directory again, Nero will give the same error message.
Nero needs to process the file.
That is the 3rd window on the left in Nero.
            Hope this makes sense.
