avi to vcd

can somebody help me out i have been trying for days to convert avi to vcd using all kinds of programs i get no sound after convert
so i decompress the audio then convert to mpeg 1 does not play in dvd player any tips will be helpfull

Use a program like virtual dub or goldwave to save the audio stream in a format that is supported by the program you use to convert to VCD. For example, save the audio stream from the movie (using goldwave) in wav format. (This will be a huge file) Then load your movie in the program (Like TMPGenc) and then select the audio stream apart (pick the .wav file you've just created) Now convert to .MPG
