    caprure stops at 3.99GB ...any help please

    I am using Video Studio 4.0 to capture videom from my SONY DVR-TRV510. Video capture stops when the file size of captured data reaches 3.99GB. i.e about 18 to 19 minutes of video data.

    Can someone help me how to overcome this 3.99GB limit?

      You are probably running up against Win98's FAT32 4Gig limitation. Changing to NTFS will obviate this problem - as will using capture software (such as ASUS Live!), which automatically splits files while capturing...

          You can avoid this MS Windows 98/95 problem by using Windows NT, 200 or XP. You must change the Harddisk filesystem to NTFS (only available with NT, 200 or XP, I don''t like Windows ME).
          I can capture 62 min. DV video from my Sony TRV-20 in one piece.
          Needed only about 13 GB!!!!
