    Can't make VCD work

Ok .... I am probably an Idiot here but let me explain what I have done and how it has all gone horribly wrong.

I am capturing some of my home videos using my ATI 64mb DDr Vivo card. Works really well by the way. The problem is in the VCD burning part. I am capturing MPEG1 in the proper format for VCD but when I go to make a VCD with NTI I get a disk that will not play on my DVD player (it has played other VCDs, not made by me, so I know it can). They play fine on my desktop. Even autorun when I put them in, just won't play on My Samsung DVD player.

The question is: Am I missing something really big here or are there just multiple possibilities as to why this doesn't work?

    Thanks for looking.

"it has played other VCDs, not made by me, so I know it can"

If, by this, you mean it plays COMMERCIAL VCDs, that doesn't mean it will play burned VCDs.

Even if your standalone player IS capable of playing burned VCDs, it may be very "finicky" regarding which brand(s) of CD-R it will recognize.

For information about the capabilities of your specific make/model of standalone DVD player, go to:

Video forums, video software downloads, guides, blu-ray players and media.

      check for CD-R/CD-RW

Have u checked if ur player support both CD-R and CD-RW?

Some players only support CD-RW. I had one like that.
