When you say "I am getting this error every time in TMPGEnc. It always happens at 32%." what are you doing at the 32%. Are you converting? And to what if you are converting? Also, give me the details of the file (codec, audio frame rate etc...) And lastly, did u try (to do what you are doing to this file) with another file?
Be sure to give more details next time

      "It always happens at 32%."

If this is happening consistently, with different .AVI files that you are trying to convert, I would speculate that you are either running out of hard drive space or you need to defragment your hard drive...

It happens just with this avi file. I am trying to convert it to a mpeg VCD format.

I have 80 GB of hard drive space, partitioned in to 3 subdomains (C:,D:, & E

        -----------------------------
        Local Disk (C

        File System: NTFS
        Free Space: 9.84 GB

        Total Size: 38.3

        -----------------------------
        Local Disk (D

        File System: FAT32
        Free Space: 16.9 GB
        Total Size: 18.6 GB

        ------------------------------

        Local Disk (E

        File System: FAT32
        Free Space: 18.5 GB
        Total Size: 18.6

Just defragmented also. Still same problem

The .AVI contains a Variable Bit Rate (VBR) .MP3 audiostream - which TMPGEnc cannot process.
Simply use VirtualDub to save the audio stream as an Uncompressed PCM (WAV) file as follows:
Load your original .AVI into VirtualDub
From the "File" dropdown menu, select "Save WAV" (Enter a new filename with a ".WAV" extender).Click on "OK".

            Open TMPGEnc

            FIRST load the .AVI

            THEN load the .WAV audiostream

            Process as you normally would

            Let us know of your success ;>}

You can adjust the audio/video synch in TMPGEnc by clicking on the "Advanced" tab, putting a checkmark in the box labelled "Source Range" and doubleclicking on the words "Source Range". When the adjustment window appears, you'll see an area at the bottom for adjustment (positive or negative numbers can be entered) of the Audio Delay...
