How to split a BIG file in to 2 parts???

HI Everyone!!!
I have a BIG problem
I managed to rip DVD and convert it to divx! Leter on I converted avi to mpeg!! And everything went well!!! But now i have a problem because this mpeg file is about 950MB!!!!!!!!!It will not fit on single CD!! What can i do?? How to split this image or original mpeg file into 2 VCD??????? And than when I play a VCD in my DVD player - I`ll have to change Cd`s....but i guess there is no other way??!!!!!

Split the file with TMPGEnc

http://www.tmpgenc.net/

File--->MPEG Tools
Click on the Merge & Cut tab
Click on the Add button and choose the file you want to split
Select the file in the list window and press edit
Press [{] to select the start of the movie,and use the slider to
go to the end of the part you are creating.Then press [}]
Press Ok and give the part a name
Click Run
Repeat to make the second part.

I did what you saing
It seemed to be allright....it started to stream video and audio
but it sill makes one big file!! how to name part of a file??
i can not change thier names~!!! I can only type the name for the output file! But the program finishes it produces one big file...

Remember that you have loaded the big file in TMPGEnc.
Press [{] and move the slider half way into the movie,then press
[}] to mark the end section.

use easympeg3 to do it

you can use EasyMPEG to do it automatically and more simply.
download it from www.easympeg.com.
it can segment the mpeg file to two VCD image file quickly!!
