Nero, and VCDEasy doesn't work at all

    this is the problem:

I want to burn a new video cd using nero
but when I drop and drag the file that I want to burn to .. this message display :

the file D:\abcd.mpg is invalid - need MPEG-1 which was encoded for video CD
the following problems was found :
*stram encoding which was invalid for a (super) video cd
    *no video
    *no audio

but when I saw the properties of abcd.mpg file..
it display abcd.mpg ... and I see the file type.. it is a movie file(MPEG) ....

some friends suggest me VCDEasy and NeroVision

I just install VCDEasy to my computer...
when I go to tolls, mpeg toolds, and detect my abcd.mpg, it display:

abcd.mpg analyse failed: Invalid MPEG file, seems to be a ".dat" file renamed to ".mpg"
Use Cdxa2mpeg in the tools page to try to convert it to a "true" MPEG file

and then I follow the command... I go to tools page and use Cdxa2mpeg to convert it....and the result is... it's display like this:
    Cdxa2mpeg execution failed:
unknown chunk id [AVI] encountered [The file is not a MPEG file with Riff header[.dat file]]

    what I should do?
    VCDEasy doesn't work at all...

and when I use NeroVision... It stops when it try to encoding this file, without any message display....

    plz help me... thx be4

    A) Have you been able to PLAY the original file successfully?

    B) Just as an experiment, do the following:

In order to determine which codec(s) you need for a particular .AVI, you should do the following:

    1) Load the file into VirtualDub

    2) From the "File" dropdown menu, select "File Information"

    3) Post (here) EVERYTHING you see (both video and audio information), or post a screen capture .jpg of the information box

The file IS NOT an MPEG file. Rather it is a DivX-compressed .AVI file (DivX v.5.02 video codec) with an .MP3 audiostream...
