    Why no more than 98 files when burning a VCD with Nero ?

    I have a few hundred VCD clips I want to burn on a CDR but Nero prevents me
    adding more than 98 files as a msg pops up saying this when I go over the limit. Why as NTI CD maker 6 does'nt seem to worry but there's no thumbnail menu option you can create with NTI so I prefer to use Nero if I can get round this stupid limit. Any one know how please ?? TIA

      Why do you want to know ? What ever the msg I am not able to add any more than 98 file to the compilation. The fact is why should I have any limit when other s/w like NTI which I state does'nt give any warnings etc

        perhaps some other, more tolerant, poster will be willing to blindly guess at what's causing your problem, while you choose to keep the EXACT error message to yourself...

          HUh ?! Keep your wig on mate!! It's not a matter of life or death you know

          If I get around to it I'll quote the EXACT message for you. Anyway no CD will accept more than 99 tracks I'm told so that's the problem

            Audio and video cd's cannot exceed more than 99 files, data and other discs can.

              No, it certainly isn't - it IS, however, a matter of simple everyday common courtesy, when YOU are seeking an answer to YOUR problem, that YOU provide ALL the information requested by someone trying to help YOU. After all, if YOU don't want to make the effort, why should anyone else on YOUR behalf?

              By the way, my wig is very securely attached ;>}

                OK thanks this is what I now realize. There must be software which by passes this rule though ?

                  Look pal, if you wish to post something on this forum, at least have some respect for those who bother to even answer your question. You cum online kicking up a big fuss about not being able to burn more than 98 files and when someone tries to solve it for you, you bark like some wild dog... (Sun of a beach?)

                    No, its not the problem of the program not being able to burn 99 audio tracks, its just that cd players/discmans/stereo systems never go over 99 tracks when playing a disc.

                    "You cum online kicking..."
