    old video on dvd ?

    Hello there,
I am new in the field.
I have some old movies (that are not available on DVD "operation crossbow for instance") on video that I'd like to burn on DVD. I have a Pinnacle card : Studio deluxe 8 and a DVD burning +/-Rom Sony and "record now DX soft ware" that was delivered with the DVD burner.
Normally I can only burn only 1 hour on one DVD 4.7 GB . I can augment that time (lowering the transfer rate to 3000 kb/sec instead of 8000 kb/sec) but then the dubbung is altered!! persons speaks and the audio comes later!
What can I do to prevent that?

"Normally I can only burn only 1 hour on one DVD 4.7 GB"

I'd suggest that you create a single, full DVD structure (.IFOs, .BUPs, .VOBs) on your hard drive for two to three hours of video - and then use (freeware) DVD Shrink to compress to less than 4.37Gb - and then burn.

You might want to do some "reading" of the posts at the DVD Shrink sub-forum here...
