    First Time

Hi, i have just downloaded a 1.5g .tar file. So, i unzipped the file and it created two new folders...

    CD1, CD2 and Sample.

In sample is just mpg. But in CD1, and CD2 there are lots of files. The CD1 folder contents is shown in the attachment, CD2 looks the same. So after i saw this, i guess that i needed to extract the winrar files, so i extracted the first one to a new folder, and got an image... .Cue and .Bin.... so then i went to extract the second winrar file to the same folder but it asked me to replace the other one.

    What do i do?

I used daemon to open the first image files and i got a video cd, but WinDVD said that it was not a valid video disc.

    Any Help?

    Welcome to the forum marbles.......

    1. do not post here where you download movies from
no matter if its mirc, kazaa, emule or anything other.

    2. you have answered your first part of the question yourself...
when the second image (cd2) looks the same as the first(cd1)
you have to unzip it to a DIFFERENT folder since the cue /bin
of the first image will of course be overwritten if you extract it to
    the same folder (same filenames!!!)

    after having accomplished this succsessfully.......
here is a tip on your last problem......mount your images into
deamontools or alcohol 120% browse them, find the folder called
mpeg , or mpeg2 or mpegav..... there should be a BIG file named AVseq001.dat or similar. just drag and drop that from your
virtual drive to a harddisk folder...and rename it to avseq001.mpg
you can now play this mpegfile with any application that is able to
    decode mpeg files...

unfortunatly a maybe existing videocd menue gets lost with this
    method.

if you can not play your videocd images using deamon tools it may be
because you have some roxio burning routines installed!!!

give alcohol 120% a try it has no problems with roxio
(that roxio may has been installed win windows media player or a
similar program that has burning capabilities)

you can now burn your so extracted mpeg file to videocd or svcd
with a burning tool of your choice!!!

    good luck!!

Use Winrar and right-click on the .rar files for both CD 1 and 2. Select "Extract to CD 1" or whatever the name is.

The thing is to extract each .rar to its own folder. You should get a .bin and .cue file. Mount using Daemon tools and use Windows Media Player 6.4 to open the .dat file found in the MPEGAV folder.

Ok thanks ill try that when i get back later. And sorry if i posted in wrong part.

But what i still don't get... is how come as shown in my screenshot all of the winrar files have the same contents, why not only put one? Because there the same except for the .rar file near the bottom.

          Thanks.

I guess you downloaded a splitted movie....and the only the filenames and filesizes created by winrar are the same....
the "content" may be completly different!!!

              Ok, i'm still stuck

What i have done is.... unzipped the .rar file from the CD1 folder. The .rar file is shown in the screenshot above. And what i get from that .rar file is a bin file and a cue file, as shown in the attached screenshot.

So i use daemon to load the bin file and it becomes a video cd. But when i go to view the cd in winDVD i get a messge saying no video disk found. The same happens when i load the image using alcohol 120%.

Also, i tried copying the mpg file from the loaded image, and copied it to my hard drive, but every program i have to play mpg, dosnt seem to load the file except for WinDVD, now this i dont mind.. but why will the film not load from the image? rather than just the mpg?

What am i doing wrong? And what are all of the other files in the CD1 folder for; if i can get the image from just a single rar file in that folder? Thanks.
