Go to File-->Wizard and select the type of mpeg you wish to make (VCD)-->Next.

Load the .avi file using browse and click next all the way. Save with a new filename and wait for encoding to finish.

        tmpgenc

        hi,

i followed your steps but when i clicked on start i got an error message saying that the file "could not be opened, or was unsupported".

but it is an avi file and i had already split it in two to make it small enough to fit onto a VCD.

        anyone got any ideas?

                hi,

no joy after installing the ffdshow and divx codecs. after installing ffdshow i burned a different vcd and it came out with sound and NO picture so i've since un-installed it.

TmpgEnc and NTI CD-Maker both crash whenever i try and convert to VCD.

So i am now going to give WINmpg a go and hope that it doesn't crash as well.

Are there any other mpg conversion programs?

                shamone mofo's!

I just noticed the name of the video that you're trying to convert.

Since it is obviously an illicitly obtained commercial video, I am deleting my previous information posts to this thread...
