a friend has passed me a film in two files (parts). this film will easily fit onto one VCD.

my question is, can i merge these two files into one. and if so what would i require. i have nero 6.

can you not import them as separate chapters?

"a friend has passed me a film in two files (parts)."

What format are the files in? (Mpeg, AVI)

"the movie is in AVI format."

If you want to make a VCD, encode both AVI parts in "TMPGENc" (different from TMPGENc DVD Author). Use the VCD wizard to accomplish the task. After you have successfully encoded them in Mpeg-1 format, you can use the "Merge and Cut" feature in TMPGENc to join them.
