Every thing is fine until Nero

I have ripped DVD to HD useing smartripper, Converted VOB files useing DVD2AVI (ver 1.76)as a frameserver, then TMPGEnc(ver 2.02) for VideoCD encoding with VFAPI plugin installed, then split into 2 VCD files then burned with nero 5.5.6.4. The problem is i can watch any of the mpg files from the HD using Media player 7 and everything is perfect, but when i burn with Nero the sound and picture are perfect in quality, but the movie Stutters every few seconds. I tried a DivX conversion useing the apporiate tools and got the same result. My system is a P4, 256 Ram, 80gig HD, Video Card is a Matrox G400, 4X Panasonic SCII burner What is going wrong with the recoding, anyone? have i missed something
    thanks
    Confused.

hi strange this okay i think this crap cd, you burn at 2 fast a speed dont go over 8x or the cd, or dvd rom you use to play back is 2 slow to play the frame rate correctley.

when watching from a cd try shutting down a few progs aswell especially anything like kazaa, morpheus, direct connect or audio galaxy.

this may then stop the stutters

    hope this helps.

Just a few ideas to try
Try burning to VCD using a different brand of disc, even a CDRW to save stuffed discs
          Reinstall Nero
Check the DMA of your Burner, if its tick, untick it, if its unticked tick it
Have you tried to play the VCD in another computer/dvd player/VCD player ie. be sure its not your Rom drive (i doubt but you never know)

Let us know how it goes

          Cheers
