    i dont understand

    i have a mpeg video file i want to burn to cd-r so i used nero 6 and the s-vcd option. i followed all the instructions but it wont work. there are 3 dvd players in my house and 2 wont accept the disk and one just shows a black screen. whats wrong with it? it plays other peoples vcds fine.

    SVCD (SuperVideoCD) is different than VCD (VideoCD)...

        RTFM. It's quite possible your players won't play the media in that format, or you burned the cdr at too high a speed, and it may have errors, or Nero re-encoded the video, and it's non-compliant somehow.
        Did nero complain about anything?

            Then I would suspect something wrong with Nero (not surprisingly).
            Get VCDGear and import your mpeg. Select mpeg -> mpeg, with the "fix mpeg" checked.
            Use the resulting file to import into Nero in SVCD.
            When you said above, "i followed all the instructions"...what instructions are you referring to?
            Did you try burning at a much slower speed? Try 16x or even 8x.
            Have you tried a different brand of blank disk?

              yea ive tried 2 kinds of blank disk. ok i'll try slower, its on 48x.
              i put it in, selected vcd/svcd, imported the file and then i didnt change anything just clicked next and finish.
